Celiac disease is considered an auto immune disease that damages the small intestine and the villi (the small intestine lining) and interferes with or prevents the absorption of certain nutrients from food. The villi allow the nutrients from food to be absorbed into the bloodstream, if gluten is consumed, the immune system reacts by ruining the small intestine and villi. If the villi are damaged, you may become ill and malnourished which can lead to vitamin deficiencies that deprive your brain, nervous system, bones, liver, and other organs of vital nourishment. Celiac disease is usually genetic. Symptoms differ in all people and may include but are not limited to chronic diarrhea, constipation, fatigue, bone or joint pain, seizures, delayed growth, abdominal pain or bloating, irritability or depression, skin rash, and mouth sores.Without treatment, people with celiac disease can develop complications like cancer, osteoporosis, anemia, and seizures.
There is not a known cure for celiac disease at this time; however you may effectively manage celiac disease by changing your diet and consistently consuming AloeLuYah’s AMP Aloe & E. We highly advise you not to eat foods containing gluten, which is found in bread, pasta, cookies, pizza crust and many other foods containing wheat, barley or rye and occasionally in oats. Please consult your physician for the best recommended diet for you. Once you are diagnoses with Celiac Disease, you should remain on a gluten free diet even after your villi and small intestine are able to absorb nutrients. Aloe-N-E may assist in healing the small intestine lining so the proper nutrients will be absorbed in the bloodstream.
