Diabetes type 2 is the most common diabetes condition affecting over 90% of the 21 million cases in Americans. The main cause of Diabetes type 2 is Insulin resistance. Insulin resistance is when the cells reject the insulin that is generated causing the pancreas to produce more insulin to try to maintain a normal level. If cells reject the insulin they won’t be able to absorb the sugar, this will cause the blood sugar to rise. Over time the pancreas will not be able to produce enough insulin to overcome resistance. Diabetes type 2 was formally referred to as non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus or maturity-onset diabetes. Unlike diabetes type 1, type 2 primarily develops in people ages 65 and older but can appear at any age. It may cause increased bone density but may make the bones weak and frail.

Genetics, obesity, Lack of physical activity, smoking, and Conditions that damage the pancreas increase the risk for diabetes. Diabetes is a critical risk factor for blindness, kidney failure, heart disease, stroke, and foot or leg amputations. Symptoms may include excessive thirst, fatigue, and unexplained weight loss, itching, blurred vision, hearing loss, nausea, frequent infections, and frequently urinating. People with Diabetes type 2 have a higher risk of getting Respiratory Infections, Urinary Tract Infections, and/or Dementia do to the blood vessels in the brain experiencing problems. The most common treatment available at this time is insulin, there are several different forms and most must be injected once or twice a day. One of the main side effects is weight gain. Please do not decrease insulin dosages to lose weight, aerobic exercise would be a great way to help decrease body fat. Exercise will also help lower blood pressure, maintain normal cholesterol levels, and increase sensitivity to insulin. If you are able to do strength training after checking with your physician, it is an excellent way to increase muscle and reduce fat of all the major muscle groups. It is important to do at least one daily blood sugar test and visit your physician at least every three months.

The treatment goals for a diabetes diet are improving overall health, managing the symptoms of diabetes type 2, maintaining a moderate weight, prevention from further conditions, controlling blood sugar levels, and maintaining healthy cholesterol levels. There is not a specific diet that states what foods you should eat and avoid, we recommend you consult your physician or dietitian to obtain a diet that would be best for you. Studies have been completed proving in most cases that taking aspirin on a daily basis may reduce the risk of blood clotting. Constantly consuming AloeLuYah's AMP Aloe & E may stabilize blood sugar, and restore/open blood vessels, lowers high cholesterol, and also as an intracellular antioxidant cleansing out all cells.
